Mike joined Byrne Asset Management in 2014 and serves as an analyst and Chief Technology Officer.
Mike began his career as an analyst at Michael D. Witter Inc. in New York and Harvest Fund Management in Beijing. He subsequently worked at Jane Street Capital in the area of statistical arbitrage and at Guerilla Capital Management where he managed a proprietary portfolio focusing on connections between numbers, psychology, and risk-management.
Mike is also a professional Go player, North American Champion, and has been featured on CNN. Go is an abstract strategy board game that was featured in the 2017 Netflix Documentary AlphaGo (www.alphagomovie.com), in which Google’s DeepMind Technologies mastered the game Go through artificial intelligence to beat the reigning world champion.
Mike enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his wife and their dog.
